Lead Engineer – Product Development

When you join the headquarters of Snoeks Automotive in Nieuw-Vennep, you become part of a team of young, enthusiastic, and talented product developers. Collaborating with colleagues from various departments such as sales, project management, product integrity, and procurement, we collectively work towards creating fantastic, innovative interior concepts for light commercial vehicles! As an international family business, Snoeks offers you a place where you are seen, feel valued, and can actively contribute to your own professional development.

If you are seeking a challenging role where you take technical responsibility for projects and lead engineers in their tasks, this is your opportunity!

Every new product starts with the metaphorical “blank sheet of paper,” where engineers employ their creativity, from sketches and CAD modeling to simulations and analyses. Ultimately, the prototype evolves into a complete installation set that is delivered in series to the production lines of automotive manufacturers. How diverse can it get?

As a Lead Engineer, you will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the executed tasks. The Lead Engineer monitors the budget, compares alternatives, and requests and evaluates quotes. You play a pivotal role in the entire design and development process, from product improvement to product innovation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…

As the Lead Engineer in Product Development, each workday brings you new challenges and the opportunity to make a difference.

Your day starts at the coffee machine, engaging in discussions about recent developments within the project. You go through the work schedule while taking the first sip of coffee. Subsequently, you make a round through the department to check the progress of your fellow engineers, offering assistance and advice where needed. Throughout the day, you remain approachable for various small and big questions.

After enjoying lunch with colleagues in the courtyard, you conduct a design review to prepare for a project discussion with Volkswagen. You continue working on the PowerPoint presentation for your innovative concept. Later, you make a quick call to a supplier for a cost estimate, and then you participate in the project meeting with the client, alongside your Czech colleagues.

At the end of the workday, you gather with your Padel team for a hearty meal in the cafeteria. They have reserved 2 courts for the evening, so you could use some extra energy!
